Investissement Desjardins adopts new identity and becomes Desjardins Capital de risque / Desjardins Venture Capital
Montréal, September 2, 2003 – Investissement Desjardins, the venture capital fund manager of the Desjardins Group, announces a change of corporate name and the adoption of a new visual identity, to become "Desjardins Capital de risque / Desjardins Venture Capital," highlighting even more its membership in the Desjardins Group.
The announcement was made today by the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Desjardins Group, Mr Alban D’Amours, and Mr Luc Chabot, President and Chief Operating Officer of Desjardins Venture Capital.
The name change is part of the overall rebranding of the Desjardins Group. Through it, Desjardins becomes the umbrella banner unifying all of the Mouvement’s subsidiaries through the visual identity.
"The name Desjardins Venture Capital better reflects the niche of this Mouvement Desjardins subsidiary, and the new identity will allow us to, among other things, facilitate the development of our business by establishing more clearly the Desjardins brand as a reference in specialized financial services," said Mr D’Amours.
"By adopting this name, we are clearly demonstrating our will to put the Desjardins brand forward and position our company in the industry in which we are operating," declared Mr Chabot. "We can thus better capitalize on the value of this brand, in Québec as well as Canada, where the company will use mainly the English-language version of its name, Desjardins Venture Capital."
