Yves Gagné was appointed Vice-President, Major Investments and Company Buyout at Desjardins Venture Capital in February 2007. He is responsible for investments totalling more than $5 million as well as investments giving Desjardins Venture Capital a majority shareholding.

Yves’ 14 years with different organizations of Desjardins Group has given him extensive experience in business financing and management. He started his career with Desjardins Trust as portfolio manager for clients with financing problems. Yves then joined the branch network as general manager of a Desjardins caisse and later went on to serve as regional manager for the greater Québec Centre region and regional manager of Desjardins Venture Capital’s Montréal/South Shore branch. Until recently, Yves was business development director at the Fédération des Caisses Desjardins du Québec, where he managed a team of around 20 specialists who were responsible for supporting the 55 Desjardins Business Centres during complex and major financing negotiations.

Yves has a degree in finance from Université Laval, Québec City and holds a CFA designation.
