Gregory Shaw joined Desjardins in 2006 with over twenty five years of experience as a product developer and manager of R&D and Engineering teams. As our CTO in Residence, he anchors our technical and IP due diligence and coaches our companies in what it takes to bring solid products to market with well protected IP. Greg works with companies to ensure that the business model is highly profitable and cascades through the company such that we understand what products and channels are or will be making money.
Gregory has 19 years of R&D experience gained developing telecommunications services, platforms, embedded systems, Operations Administration & Maintenance systems for fixed, wireless and satellite networks as well as data warehousing and a web portal.
In addition to his R&D experience, Gregory has on an interim basis managed both the engineering and information systems teams of a European wireless carrier, directed the evolution of TDMA, GSM and TETRA networks in Brazil and Europe as well as chairing the ETSI standards committee for High Speed Data for TETRA.
Gregory holds a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University of Montreal, and is a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec. |
